This is a special experience plan that allows you to experience the traditional casting technique that has been passed down for over 400 years in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. At the local workshop "Fujita Casting," you can experience the process of pouring clay into a mold and shaping a vessel under the guidance of a craftsman. During the experience, you will also paint a magnet coated with decorative clay made from ceramic stone mined from Mt. Shiratake in Nakaoyama, creating a one-of-a-kind, original piece that you can take home as a souvenir. In addition, the work you cast will be passed on to the next participant, allowing you to experience Hasami's unique recycling-oriented manufacturing that gently connects people. At the end of the experience, you will be awarded a Hasami ware craftsmanship master certificate. This one-of-a-kind certificate will add a special touch to your travel memories. After your experience, be sure to take a leisurely stroll around Nakaoyama, the "town of pottery" where artisans live. You can feel the breath of Hasami ware from the remains of the old climbing kilns, galleries, and the townscape of the pottery!
