Arita Town in Saga Prefecture is known as the birthplace of porcelain in Japan. For over 400 years, the tradition of Arita ware has been passed down through generations. Its beauty once captivated European royal families and continues to enchant people around the world today.
In this workshop, you will use authentic Arita porcelain beads to create your own accessories. Choose two items from a necklace, strap, keychain, or ear pick, and craft your original designs. You will select the porcelain beads and attach the metal fittings with guidance from an instructor. You can finish your pieces as earrings, clip-on earrings, a necklace, or in your preferred style. Completed items can be taken home the same day.
